Workout Nation was developed to help you lead an active and healthy life. The site was developed by HyperStrike, the leader in online fitness, located in San Jose California, in cooperation with The Agents, a leading Swedish web agency.

Workout Nation tracks and forecasts your entire active life, giving you valuable real-time feedback and motivation to help you plan for success, rather than "hope" for it. Workout Nation gives you access to a lifestyle dashboard to help you monitor your personal Activity Zone. Each week you will be able to see where you are trending: the Inactive Zone, Health Zone, Lean Zone, Fitness Zone or Performance Zone. By entering your workout information with three simple clicks, you'll see if you are getting the weekly levels of regular exercise to promote health, weight loss and fitness.

An Advanced and Cleverly Simple Activity Tracker

Workout Nation supports more than 100 different activities. Why so many? We believe the exercise we choose must be enjoyable and be within our limits. Therefore, we've included 100+ activities so you're certain to find the right fit for you. The workout tracker simplifies logging your daily activities so you don't have to worry about counting numbers like calories, joules, sets or reps nor spend lots of time in front of the computer screen reporting.

Backed by Science - Based on You

The American College of Sports Medicine and the American Heart Association have published exercise recommendations based on burning a minimum number of calories per week. Workout Nation makes it simple to know if you're meeting those levels. Workout Nation tracks the total amount of physical activity each day using the intensity and time to calculate the energy expenditure (we call it the Top Secret Formula, TSF for short). The energy expenditure (e.g., in calories or joules) during a physical activity depends on the person's body mass; therefore the energy cost of the same physical activity will be different for persons of different weight.

All data – from activity tracking and your personal settings page is compiled in a custom formula in real time. The result is presented on a graph with few simple thresholds called intensity levels. When calculating day-by-day data on the timeline we get an overview of your current fitness level and a forecast based on what activities that are planned in the future.
