Croquet

Plan and track the result of your Croquet.

Croquet is a game where wooden balls are knocked through wire hoops, also called wickets, by striking them with a mallet. Croquet had its origins in a European game called ground billiards that was played in the 1300s. The game evolved, becoming Pall Mall in the 1600s, and finally croquet in the 1850s. Since then, croquet has become an organized sport, with associations and clubs around the world.

The basic idea of croquet is to move the balls around a course of 12 hoops, going through each hoop in order and finishing by striking the peg at the end with the ball. On a turn in the game of croquet, you can attempt to knock your ball through the next hoop in the sequence, or you can knock one of the other balls on the yard. If you succeed, you get bonus turns, thus improving your chances of winning.

Your back and legs must be strong to withstand all the bending and stooping to pick up the wooden balls in certain situations such as ball in hand. Your arm must be conditioned to deliver a perfect croquet stroke. Having an accurate and powerful stroke will help you send the ball in the direction of the wickets or towards other balls. You must also develop fine muscle control if you want to get the balls through the hoops. You can use the Workout and Fitness Tracker to measure your progress.
